Sometimes we find it difficult to make a move, take action, keep going.
Motivation is one of the hardest areas in change that is needed. It’s likely there is an area in your Life that is not satisfactory. There is always a “need”.
However we slow ourselves up from achieving that, and that makes us miserable.

Life Coaching is an excellent way to shift the blockages.

Anne supports you to find them, shift them right out of the way. Having that non judgemental encouragement is usually vital. Why be miserable, why hold yourself back?

If we are 100% accountable for our position, then we need to recognise we CAN move on. Make a caring-for-you choice. It reaps major benefits. In each of Life’s areas from your work to your personal contentments.

Can you play the piano?

Aug 4, 2011   //   by Anne Russell   //   Blog, Life Coaching  //  No Comments

May sound an odd question, but it could be many things I could mention here – can you play golf? Can you swim? My point being that very often I am told “I would love to learn to……..but I haven’t the time”.

Yes we have the time, but we CHOOSE to do otherwise with it. Or perhaps you need to learn how to MANAGE your time to make more positive moves than lose it to something worthless? Or perhaps, perhaps you need MOTIVATING to get around to what it is you really want to do?

These things don’t come easily, we all need SUPPORT. This is where a Personal Coach comes in, and SPEEDS up the process enormously. The best thing is not to let yourself be put to the bottom of the pile – Mum’s take note especially! This is your only day here today that you can depend on. Make it count! Play the Piano!

Jul 20, 2011   //   by Anne Russell   //   Blog, Nutrition  //  No Comments

There’s lots of media comments/adverts focused on women’s diets about at the moment. And it concerns me that so many women are worried about their weight. Lots of pressure, leading to lots of panic and following diets that really don’t suit that person.

We are all individuals, with a unique body system, lifestyle, needs and wants. How can one specific diet help you determine and gain the best for you, without causing you damage?

You need a diet tailored for you, your body, safely so. The benefits of this are for a whole new lifetime. Not just a season. That’s what is on offer here, weight loss yes, if you need that, but safely and happily achieved, with many benefits besides. Try me.

Do you know what counts in Life really for you? Is it what you can get out of it? For me, what counts is what I put into it, not what I can get out of it. What will you contritbute to Life today or tomorrow? Do you know?

Brain Food!

May 9, 2011   //   by Anne Russell   //   Blog, Nutrition  //  No Comments

Yes! certainly, do not be surprised – our food is there to enjoy, of course, but the nutrients in the food are vital.
So, we have nutrients that feed the brain, just as we have the right oils for the car engine. Miss out supplying those to your car, and you won’t get very far very efficiently.

The brain needs lots of various important nutrients. But one to focus on today is the omega 3 food group, which I am sure many of you will now have heard of?

The brain is made up of 60% omega-3 fat, so obviously you need to get a good dose of this essential nutruient. How do you do that?
EAT – oily fishes, nuts, seeds, nut butters.

If you want more news on how what you are eating makes a difference to you, just drop me a line via the contact box and I will get back to you.

You know it’s good for you – so go on – eat the right foods, think the right thoughts!

Being Appreciative

May 9, 2011   //   by Anne Russell   //   Blog, Life Coaching  //  No Comments

After the fun of the Bank Holidays, and business people returned to work it may have given you chance to feel uncomfortable or very pleased. Uncomfortable with your lot in life, or appreciative.

I believe there is no wrong in recognising your discomfort – and voicing that – but use it to change what isn’t working for you. In other words, moaning for the sake of it really helps no-one, especially yourself!

Following on from that (which we could discuss in great length), is the thought that as so much news and information is now available to us, it’s easy, I think, to develop a notion of appreciation for all that is good in your life.

Right down to appreciating the ability for example, to walk freely in woods, by streams, on the beach without difficulties that many peoples are facing day to day that are truly life diminishing. It’s easy I think, to forget this appreciative element, that nourishes the soul and allows you the energy to give more generously of self to others.

Perhaps you could give yourself a thought at some point in your day, rushed, pushed, scheduled and so on as it is, to be appreciative of something/someone in your day, every day? Then watch for the riches that brings you, undeniable and priceless.
